Book Report: The Giver

I am thankful to have a 3rd/4th grade teacher as one of my roommates, and she recommends new children's books to me. So, this Sunday I read "The Giver" by Lois Lawry. It is set in a future dystopic (anti-utopic) society where a society has done away with feelings, emotion, pain and strife for safety, but this has also removed any emotional depth from their life too (along with pain and suffering, love and joy are taken away too). Anyway, it was an interesting book!
